Many in our community are trapped repeating cycles of abuse, poverty, criminal behavior, or addiction.

OrphanWise offers trauma-informed skills for those who come from backgrounds of adversity. With evidence-based method Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), we empower care providers to look below the surface and heal the root of difficult behaviors, so that they can truly break negative cycles and see real change.

From now until the end of the year, we’re seeking to raise $30,000 to break 9,678 cycles through trauma-informed knowledge and skills.  We’re zeroing in on the three primary areas that trauma affects  Individuals, Families and Systems.  At each level, OrphanWise offers solutions that help children, youth and adults in our community find real healing from destructive patterns.

Over the past several years, we’ve impacted tens of thousands of vulnerable children, youth and adults for roughly $3.10/person. Your gift allows us to provide coaching services for those in our community trapped in vicious cycles.

In September, we’re focusing on breaking Individual Cycles of trauma. At this level, we focus on personal healing and growth through the three pillars of trauma-wise care: Self-regulation, Attachment and Felt-Safety.

In November, our focus is on breaking familial cycles of trauma. After having laid a foundation with the individual, OrphanWise works with families by helping caregivers create a home culture of structure and nurture. Through our family coaching services, we empower families to heal by ceasing to replicate defective patterns they inherited from previous generations.

At OrphanWise, we know we can't do it alone. On the level of systems, we partner with organizations in our community to ensure we’re all speaking the same language regarding trauma and healing. OrphanWise comes alongside direct service organizations like courts, schools, afterschool programs, law enforcement agencies and more to ensure that the organizations that work with our community's most vulnerable are trauma-informed.
