     12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Note: This community training is made possible by the generous support of the United Way of the Ocoee Region.  Attendees are asked to pay a $20 materials fee to cover the cost of workbooks and snacks.  Students are invited to apply for a scholarship here if cost poses a significant barrier to attendance.

In this session, participants will receive a brief overview of Trust Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), an evidence-based, trauma-informed caregiving method. Participants will learn how trauma impacts developing brains and how professionals can bring healing and wholeness to the adults and children with whom they work. The introductory module walks participants through the three principles of TBRI® — Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting — and equips them with actionable strategies that they can start to implement right away.

This six-hour module will be split into two three-hour sessions.  Participants must attend both sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Facilitator: Katie Rinaudo, TBRI® Practitioner
