     3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

In course, participants will receive a brief overview of Trust Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), an evidence-based, trauma-informed caregiving method. Participants will learn how trauma impacts developing brains and how professionals can bring healing and wholeness to the adults and children with whom they work. The introductory module walks participants through the three principles of TBRI® — Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting — and equips them with actionable strategies that they can start to implement right away.

This six-hour module will be split into three two-hour sessions.  Participants must attend all sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion.  This is a virtual course and will be conducted via Zoom; the meeting link will be distributed the day before the first session.  To ensure receipt, please whitelist katie@orphanwise.org on your email server.

This training is open to all interested caregivers regardless of location. We’re pleased to offer a discount to nonprofit staff (please use your work email to register), adoptive/foster parents, and court-ordered parents.  Parents of children in the Bradley County Court System are invited to apply for no-cost registration here.  While participants are welcome to share a screen with other registrants, we ask that all participants purchase separate tickets.
